What's a Writing Coach?

When it comes to writing, a coach helps you to recognize and develop your particular vision. If you choose coaching services, we'll collaborate to improve your writing and your writing practice.

Whether you're in the early stages of a project or seeking feedback on work that already exists, I employ close reading and engaged listening in order to identify the unique structure(s) and vision that inform your writing.

Together, we'll set goals and timelines that are reasonable for you, and we'll identify and eliminate obstacles to writing. I offer support and suggestions as you develop, shape, and revise your work. As a writing coach, I help you to recognize and develop your strengths, improve areas of concern, and complete particular projects.

Let's Meet Your Writing Goals

Do you need immediate feedback on a résumé or cover letter, a brainstorming session in preparation for an interview, response to a completed manuscript, or assistance in drafting your college application essay? These are just a few of the services that I offer.

Perhaps you want to revise your fiction, gather and edit a collection of poems, or find your way through writer's block. As a writing coach, I can offer feedback, prompts, and discussions to help you move forward.

Please contact me if you have questions about any of the services I've listed on this site. I'm often available to assist with short-notice/quick-turn-around projects.

Please check back for updates:

Currently, all discussions and coaching sessions are conducted remotely. As we improve our vaccination rates against COVID-19, I'll offer limited in-person, small group workshops.
